Nizhny Novgorod was founded by Saint Prince Yuriy Vsevolodovich. Both in the city of Nizhny Novgorod and in the rest of the region there are dozens of world-known holy places. Thousands of pilgrims from all over the world go to Diveevo to see the relics of Saint Seraphim Sarovskiy that lie in Serafimo-Diveyevsky Convent of Saint Trinity.
