Opera stars including Placido Domingo, Cecilia Bartoli and Rolando Villazon will sing in honor of Russian soprano Anna Netrebko’s 50th birthday on Saturday in the State Kremlin Palace. Leading Russian music producers Filipp Kirkorov and Igor Krutoy will also perform.
Ticket prices start at 5,000 rubles ($69) and are as high as 65,000 rubles for seats close to the stage. Some of the proceeds will go to the Arithmetic of Kindness charity for orphaned children.

Screenings of the haunting and atmospheric “Tale of Tales” (1979), “Hedgehog in the Fog” (1975), “The Battle of Kerzhenets” (1971), “The Fox and The Hare” (1973) and “The 25th, the First Day” (1968) start at 5.30 p.m., and after the show Norstein himself will sit down with the audience to take questions.
The Illusion Cinema is located in the Stalinist skyscraper on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment. Tickets cost 300 rubles.
