Alexander Borisovich Goldenweiser (1875-1961), pianist, composer. Professor of piano (1906-1961), assistant director and prorector (1918-1922), rector (1922-1924), deputy director (1932-1934), director (1939-1942). People`s Artiat of the USSR, Laureate of the USSR State Priae. With his pupils, internatitional competition winners Roza Vladimirovna Tamarkina and Arnold Lvovich Kaplan (1935/36).
