ROSATOM’s companies once again were among winners of the Annual Reports Contest run by the Rating Agency Expert RA (RAEX). Traditionally, the function dedicated to giving awards to winners of the 2017 annual reports contest and publication of results of the rating were held in the framework of the Annual Training Conference “Annual Report: experience of leaders and new standards” held on November 23, 2018.
In total 95 reports were participated in the rating. All reports were distributed along five levels: the highest quality of the annual report “5 stars”, very high quality of the annual report – “4 stars”, high quality of the annual report – ‘3 stars”, acceptable quality of the annual report – “2 stars” and satisfactory quality of the annual report – “1 star”. This year “5 stars” were given to reports of six companies of nuclear sector. These are the state-run corporation ROSATOM, JSC Atomredmetzoloto, JSC EC ASE, JSC Atomenergomash, Rosenergoatom Concern JSC and JSC TVEL (to compare with the last year there were 4 nuclear companies at this level). Reports of JSC TENEX, JSC OKB GIDROPRESS, JSC OKBM Afrikantov and JSC UECC showed very high quality (“4 stars”).
Besides, JSC TVEL won in the nomination “The best disclosure of information about sustainable development activity in the annual report”. ROSATOM won the second place in the nomination “The best annual report (non-financial sector)”. JSC EC ASE got the third place in this nomination. Rosenergoatom Concern JSC got the “silver” in the nomination “The best interactive annual report”. JSC Atomredmetzoloto received a diploma in the special nomination “For the best integrated disclosure of the company’s activities for the 10 years”.

Since 1999, the contest run by the Expert RA agency has determined main directions of development of the corporate reporting. Over the years of the contest more than 600 largest companies of Russia and CIS countries have participated in it. Leading experts from Russia and CIS as well as international experts (PWC, E & Y, KPMG, Euroland, EQS, Black Sun), including developers of international annual reporting standards (IIRC, GRI) and leading design bureaus of Russia (DDVB, Zebra, Yellow Dof etc.), are involved in discussion and assessment of reports. The RAEX contest is the only one which frames ratings of quality of annual reports and sustainable development reports. The training conference held in framework of the project is a respected platform for discussion of the content results, main development trends of content and design of annual reports.
ROSATOM has taken part in the rating since 2011. Last year, ROSATOM’s report won one of the main nominations of the contest “The best annual report in the non-financial sector”. JSC Engineering Company ASE won the additional nomination “The best integrated report” which was instituted with the support of the Russian Regional Network on Integrated Reporting. JSC Atomredmetzoloto received a special diploma “For the contribution to promotion of sustainable development principles in annual reporting”. The highest rating (“5 stars”) was given to ROSATOM, JSC EC ASE, JSC Atomredmetzoloto, and Rosenergoatom Concern JSC. Reports of JSC Atomenergomash, JSC TVEL, JSC TENEX and JSC UECC were acknowledged as very high quality reports (“4 stars”).
