News from projects and regions
Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Yoshkar-Ola and Gazprom Gazoraspredeleniye Yoshkar-Ola have expanded the set of measures undertaken to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection. Testing for antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 is being carried out in all cities and districts of the Republic of Mari El.
The top-priority groups of specialists to have their samples taken include professionals who have frequent contacts with people on their job: members of emergency response units, gas maintenance technicians, gas equipment inspectors, and operators of customer service centers. Although the work of these specialists is organized in strict compliance with the coronavirus prevention requirements of the Russian Health Ministry and the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor), the antibodies tests provide a higher level of control over the health and safety of the public.
“We assign equal importance to the health and safety of our workers and the gas consumers that they come in contact with, which is why we have found a way to arrange tests for the staff of both gas companies,” said Alexander Yeremin, Director General of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Yoshkar-Ola.
