PAO Severstal, one of the world’s largest vertically integrated steel and
mining companies, announces the appointment of Albert Lyaskovsky as Director
for Labour Protection, Industrial Safety and Environmental Protection.
Mr Lyaskovsky will be responsible for overseeing enhanced labour safety
standards across all of Severstal’s industrial sites, which includes an
increased use of contractors as the Company implements its ambitious investment
projects. The Environmental Department, which is developing and implementing
Severstal’s strategy to reduce its carbon footprint and meet the challenge of
climate, will also fall under his guidance.
Valery Minchev, former Director for Labour Protection, Industrial Safety and
Environmental Protection, will continue to lead the department of Labour
Protection, Industrial Safety and Environmental Protection at Severstal’s
Russian steel division.
Albert Lyaskovsky began his career in 2001 in the Department of Labour
Protection, Industrial Safety and Environmental Protection at Nizhnevartovsk
oil refining Association TNK (later TNK-BP). From 2008 to 2020, he worked at
SIBUR, where he rose from chief expert on labor protection and industrial
safety to Director of Labour Protection, Industrial Safety and Environmental
Protection.
