In February 2019 Anastasia Zoteeva was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of AKKUYU NUCLEAR JSC.
Anastasia Zoteeva has been involved in the development of the first NPP project in Turkey for over two years. In December 2016 A. Zoteeva was appointed CEO of REIN JSC, the managing company of AKKUYU NUCLEAR JSC; since May 2017 she was also elected the Chair of the Board of Directors of AKKUYU NUCLEAR JSC.
«We shall endeavour to fulfil our Turkish partners’ wishes by completing the construction of Akkuyu NPP Power Unit 1 in 2023, the year in which the Republic of Turkey is going to celebrate its centenary. This is a very ambitious task, so the most important persons in our project are those in charge of the construction process and the equipment manufacturing and supplies. Our project team will be reinforced by adding a number of Turkish colleagues and our joint efforts will secure a successful implementation of this project», said Anastasia Zoteeva.
A.Zoteeva has superseded Yuriy Galachuk as the CEO, who headed AKKUYU NUCLEAR JSC since May 2017. A. Zoteeva thanked her predecessor for the joint work. Mr. Galanchuk will pursue his activities in the nuclear industry.

Anastasia Zoteeva, Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the Board of Directors of AKKUYU NUCLEAR JSC, has graduated from M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University with a degree program in Applied Mathematics, pursued a research career in Applied Mathematics at Research Institute of the Economies of Russia and Eastern Europe in Stockholm, Sweden.
She has served in management positions at Brunswick Warburg Corporate Finance, ZENIT Bank and Renaissance Capital Investment Group. In 2000, Ms. A.G. Zoteeva was appointed Director General of NIKoil Management Company. Following its reorganization in 2005, she became CEO of URALSIB Financial Corporation. In 2007, she was appointed CEO of Rusenergoinvest, a Russian investment company».
In 2012, Ms. A.G. Zoteeva joined the management team of Rusatom Energy International (REIN JSC, formerly Rusatom Overseas JSC) as Executive Vice-President and Director for Business Development and Sales. Her duties included management and coordination of activities related to analysis of prospective markets and creating Rosatom State Corporation’s optimised integrated product and service offerings; she managed the Company’s most important international projects
AKKUYU NUCLEAR JSC is a subsidiary of Rosatom State Corporation. It was founded by the Russian party on December 13, 2010 pursuant to Inter-Governmental Agreement on Cooperation in Construction and Operation of a Nuclear Power Plant at Akkuyu Site in the Republic of Turkey, made by and between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on May 12, 2010.
Under a long-term contract, a special-purpose company AKKUYU NUCLEAR JSC has undertaken to provide the power plant’s design, construction, maintenance, operation and decommissioning.
Akkuyu NPP project includes four Generation 3+ VVER-1200 power units, which represent state-of-the-art technology and radically improved safety systems. Once completed, Akkuyu NPP will have installed capacity 4,800 MW and will generate about 35 billion kWh annually. Its operation period will be 60 years, which can be extended by another 20 years.
Rosatom State Corporation (Russia) is the majority shareholder of Akkuyu NPP project. The project is implemented as per BOO model (build-own-operate).
Akkuyu NPP is the first-ever nuclear power plant to be built in the Republic of Turkey.
