PJSC “ZiO-Podolsk” (owned by machine-building division of ROSATOM – JSC Atomenergomash) has manufactured and shipped the second lot of the equipment for Riverside Waste-to-Energy Plant in the UK. The delivery set includes one module of the third stage superheater and two modules of the fourth stage superheater. The total weight of equipment shipped is 100 tons.
Under the Contract with Hitachi Zosen Inova, concluded in 2019, “ZiO-Podolsk” shall manufacture the 3-rd and 4-th stage superheaters for Riverside WTE Plant. The superheaters shall superside the similar equipment for the purposes of the Plant modernization. This is the first Russian equipment manufactured for a foreign waste-to-energy plant under Hitachi Zosen Inova engineering.
The equipment is designed for steam superheating. The module length is about 9 m, width is 4 m, and height is 3.5 m. In total, our company will supply eight units of the equipment: six modules of the 3-rd stage superheater of and two modules of the 4-th stage superheater.
Now, “ZiO-Podolsk” is a Manufacturer and full set Supplier of the equipment for power island at waste-to-energy plants being built by JSC RT-Invest in Russia taking advantages of HZI technologies. Equipment for the first plant in Voskresenskiy district, Moscow region, near Svistyagino village was produced in 2019.
Currently the equipment is being installed.

In April 2019, PJSC “ZiO-Podolsk” and HZI signed the Consortium Agreement to cooperate for the purpose of construction of waste-to-energy plants. The Parties have agreed to establish the consortium to submit joint proposals for implementation of the works including equipment engineering and production, services for electromechanical systems of waste-to-energy plants. The agreement assumes “ZiO-Podolsk” participation in foreign projects. In July 2019, the consortium of two companies signed the Contract with RT-Invest concerning supply of main equipment for Waste-to-Energy Plants in Moscow Region.
Riverside Waste-to-Energy Plant is one of the reference projects of Hitachi Zosen Inova company in the UK. The Plant was constructed on the turnkey basis and put into operation in 2010. The average annual processing of municipal waste is about 585 thousand tons.
