News from projects and regions
On October 5, employees from the companies and organizations within the Gazprom on Baikal non-profit partnership took part in an annual autumn cleanup arranged in the regional center by Irkutsk gas workers.
As usual, the partnership’s teams cleaned up the outdoor area of Irkutsk Residential Care Facility No. 1, as well as the areas adjacent to the water sports center in the Solnechny microdistrict and to the Gazprom Dobycha Irkutsk headquarters.
The volunteers removed trash, dead leaves and grass from a total area of about 20 hectares. More than 70 cubic meters of household and construction waste were carried by trucks to a solid waste landfill.
The Gazprom on Baikal non-profit partnership regularly arranges and conducts environmental cleanups, takes part in citywide environmental campaigns, and cleans up the shoreline of Lake Baikal and the Kirenga River in the Kazachinsko-Lensky District.
