News from projects and regions
Specialists of the Primorskoye Production and Operation Unit of Gazprom Gazoraspredeleniye Far East have successfully fed natural gas into a boiler house located in the Bolshoy Kamen PDA for the purposes of start-up and commissioning. The boiler house will provide heat to the Shestoy, Parkovy and Sadovy microdistricts of the local shipbuilding center in the town of Bolshoy Kamen.
New gas distribution facilities delivering natural gas to the boiler house, which include the Bolshoy Kamen gas distribution station, the gas pipeline branch of the Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok gas trunkline network, and the high-pressure inter-settlement gas pipeline with a length of more than 9 kilometers, were built as part of Gazprom’s Program for gas infrastructure expansion in Russian regions, with Gazprom Mezhregiongaz as the investor.
Once put into operation, the new boiler house will provide heat to microdistricts in the southern part of the Bolshoy Kamen town, in which workers of the Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex will be accommodated.
“Under the large-scale program for gas infrastructure expansion in the Primorye Territory, gas is brought to the priority development area and the nearby localities of the Bolshoy Kamen PDA; these factors give an additional impetus to the development of the Bolshoy Kamen town and the industrial sector of the Primorye Territory. Thus, the business climate for investment is enhanced and the level of comfort for the residents of the Far East is increased,” said Sergey Mezenin, Deputy Director General for Gas Marketing at Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Far East.
