News from projects and regions
On June 22, the second extreme cross-country run named At the Limit took place in the Pangody settlement (Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area), gathering 140 athletes in 35 teams from seven subsidiaries of Gazprom: Gazprom Dobycha Nadym, Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy, Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg, Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk, Gazprom Pererabotka, Gazprom Energo, and Novy Urengoy Gas Chemical Complex.
The specially created route stretching for about 10 kilometers included sections for cross-country running and 10 challenges. Compared to the previous year, the route became longer, new challenges were added, and the number of participants doubled.
The teams from Gazprom Dobycha Nadym made it to the winners’ podium: the athletes from the Utility Vehicles and Special Machinery Directorate came third, employees of the Nadymskoye Oil and Gas Production Directorate came second, and the first prize was taken by the Corporate Security Service.
“We see that the interest in the extreme cross-country run keeps growing. It has been our great pleasure to have the teams not only from Gazprom Dobycha Nadym, but also from other subsidiaries of Gazprom and from the cities of Nadym and Novy Urengoy and the settlements of Pangody and Yagelny participating in the run this year. It gives us the incentive to continue the event,” said Igor Melnikov, Director General of Gazprom Dobycha Nadym.
