The Gazprom Management Committee took note of the information about the geological exploration performed by the Company in the Russian Federation.
It was highlighted that Gazprom conducts large-scale comprehensive geological exploration in Russia every year. The works are carried out to replenish the extracted reserves and expand the mineral resource base of the Company. Gazprom’s robust resource base ensures sustainable development of the Company, guarantees long-term reliable gas supplies to consumers and contributes to strengthening the energy security of the Russian Federation.
In 2024, Gazprom conducted a large volume of 3D seismic surveys, drilling and construction works, as well as a large number of well tests. The works were carried out efficiently and performed in full. As a result, the Company’s reserve addition rates have yet again surpassed its production rates. The reserve replacement ratio for natural gas has been exceeding 1 for as many as 20 consecutive years.
The bulk of gas reserve additions was achieved in the Arctic, namely on the shelf of the Kara Sea, in the waters of Taz Bay and in the Yamal Peninsula, more specifically, at the Dinkov, Antipayutinskoye, Leningradskoye, and Kharasaveyskoye fields. The Company has also discovered new deposits at the Dinkov and Padinskoye fields in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area.
In eastern Russia, Gazprom carried on with the construction of exploratory wells at the fields of the Irkutsk and Yakutia gas production centers. In 2024, the Company also obtained two subsurface use licenses for areas located in the Irkutsk Region and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), as well as a license for the right to use a subsurface site located in the Orenburg Region.
In 2025, Gazprom will continue to effectively develop Russia’s resource base for the benefit of the country and its people.
