It was noted that, during the period of the traditionally increased gas demand, Gazprom once again provided reliable energy supplies to Russian and foreign consumers. Special attention was paid to the gas supplies that serve the needs of the population, power generation and public utility enterprises in Russia.
New all-time highs were reached in terms of gas supplies.
In October and November 2024, the volumes of gas delivered to Russian consumers from Russia’s Unified Gas Supply System (UGSS) hit the previous records for these months and totaled 32.6 and 39.7 billion cubic meters, respectively.
In addition, in April 2025, when the 2024–2025 autumn/winter period was over in Russia, the daily high for supplies from Russia’s UGSS for this month has been topped twice. Said amounts are commensurate with gas consumption in winter periods. The maximum amount of 1.217 billion cubic meters was reached on April 9.
On December 1, 2024, following China’s request, Gazprom brought the daily gas exports via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline to the maximum contractual level one month before the scheduled date. After that, the Company broke the all-time records for its daily gas exports to China three times (on December 7, December 20 and March 3).
Gazprom’s processing and power generation enterprises operated reliably during the cold period.
Power generation facilities provided sustainable supplies of power and heat to consumers. Processing plants completed their tasks of producing the core products from natural gas, gas condensate and oil.
In order to ensure a reliable operation of Gazprom’s production complex in the 2025–2026 autumn/winter period, the Management Committee tasked the relevant structural units and subsidiaries to:
- by the beginning of the withdrawal season, stockpile 73.170 billion cubic meters of working gas inventories in Russia’s UGS facilities, thus reaching a new all-time high. The potential maximum daily deliverability of Russia’s UGS facilities will be maintained at the previously achieved record-high level of 858.8 million cubic meters. The working gas inventories in the Republic of Belarus will amount to 1.14 billion cubic meters, and in the Republic of Armenia – 0.107 billion cubic meters;
- develop the Basic Guidelines on preparing the facilities of Gazprom’s entities for the 2025–2026 autumn/winter period;
- perform scheduled preventive maintenance and repair works, implement plans and programs for the renovation and new construction of gas production, transmission, underground storage and processing facilities, as well as prepare transportation vehicles and specialized equipment for operation during the winter season.
