Who ordered the Korean set menu from Hyatt Regency Petrovsky Park last week? Raise your hands! Ours are up — we thought it was delicious, and it was also a party — a terrific break from cooking morning, noon and night or the usual delivery meals.
So, this weekend — May 15-17 — we are excited about the Middle Eastern set menu.
This looks like it will serve a lot more than two people. You start with a cold mezze of home-made hummus, eggplant mutabal, smoked salmon labneh, marinated vegetables and tabbouleh.
Then you dig into the salad course: Moroccan beet salad with labneh and lemon, and falafel salad — home-made falafel on a bed of lettuce, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers, served with tahini.
The main course is a mixed grill of chicken, fish and lamb along with kabsa rice (a pilaf dish with chicken), lamb kofta with bulgar, and sides of spiced stewed vegetables and stuffed vine leaves. All that is served with couscous.
And then you end the meal flat on your back, unable to move, but still tossing down lokma and umm ali (an Egyptian pastry).
All this for 3,500 rubles (includes Middle Eastern soft drink) or 4,900 (includes a bottle of white or red wine).
Free delivery within Third Ring Road.
