News from projects and regions
Over 1,400 employees of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Astrakhan and Gazprom Gazoraspredeleniye Astrakhan have undergone COVID-19 tests that make it possible to identify infected people at the early stage with no visible symptoms.
Preventive testing of personnel forms part of the corporate comprehensive program against the spread of the infection. The goal of the program is to create barriers stopping the spread of the virus, take measures to protect the health of employees and visitors in the offices, and minimize the risks of operational disruptions at both companies.
The first group of employees to undergo laboratory testing was the personnel of the city and district-level services that work in personal contact with consumers, i.e. operators of contact centers, gas equipment inspectors, gas equipment maintenance technicians, and emergency response teams.
Preventive measures are taken in all offices of the companies: working spaces and corporate vehicles are disinfected on a daily basis, and employees undergo daily medical check-ups and use the required personal protective equipment and disinfectants.
“In the current situation, the protection of employees, partners and clients from the spread of the coronavirus infection, as well as the provision of uninterrupted gas supplies to the regional consumers and trouble-free operation of hazardous gas facilities remain the principal priorities of both companies,” said Radik Kharisov, Director General of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Group companies in Astrakhan.
