RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF PEOPLE’S COMMISSARS OF THE UNION OF SOVIET SOCIALIST REPUBLICS ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS NAMED AFTER STALIN
In commemoration of the sixtieth anniversary of comrade Joseph Stalin’s Council of people’s Commissars of the Union of SSR decrees:
I.
Establish 16 prizes named after Stalin (in the amount of 100 thousand rubles each), awarded each year figures of science and art for outstanding works in the field:
1. of physical and mathematical Sciences,
2. of technical Sciences,
3. chemical Sciences,
4. of biological Sciences,
5. of agricultural Sciences,
6. of medical Sciences,
7. philosophical Sciences,
8. economic Sciences.
9. historical and philological Sciences
10. of legal Sciences,
11. music,
12. painting,
13. sculpture,
14. architecture,
15. theatrical art,
16. cinematography.
II.
Establish the Stalin prize, awarded annually for the best invention-
ten of the first prizes in the amount of 100 thousand rubles each,
twenty-second prizes in the amount of 50 thousand rubles each,
thirty-third prizes in amount of 25 thousand rubles each.
III.
Establish the Stalin prize, awarded annually for outstanding achievements in the field of military knowledge,three first prizes in amount of 100 thousand rubles each, five second prizes in the amount of 50 thousand rubles each, ten third prizes in amount of 25 thousand rubles each.
IV.
To establish a scholarship named after Stalin for the most outstanding students in higher educational institutions:
at the Artillery of the order of Lenin Academy of RKKA Dzerzhinsky – hundred scholarships of 1,000 rubles a month each,
in the Military-Political Academy named after Lenin – hundred scholarships of 1,000 rubles a month each,
the Air force Academy named after Zhukovsky – hundred scholarships of 1,000 rubles a month each,
in the Military Academy of mechanization and motorization of the red army them. Stalin – hundred scholarships of 1,000 rubles a month each,
in the Naval Academy named after Voroshilov – hundred scholarships of 1,000 rubles a month each,
at the Military Medical Academy named after Kirov – hundred scholarships of 1,000 rubles a month each,
in the Moscow red banner of Mechanics and Machine-building Institute named after N. E. Bauman – hundred scholarships of 500 rubles per month each,
in Moscow State University – hundred scholarships for 500 rubles each, at the Leningrad Industrial Institute – hundred scholarships of 500 rubles per month each,
in the Moscow State Conservatory fifty scholarships of 500 rubles per month each,
in the Leningrad order of Lenin State Conservatory – fifty scholarships of 500 rubles per month each,
in the Academy of Arts in Leningrad – fifty scholarships of 500 rubles per month each,
in Moscow State Institute of Theatrical Arts named after A. Century Lunacharsky – fifty scholarships of 500 rubles per month each,
for the other top military and naval schools, four hundred scholarships of 1,000 rubles a month each,
for students of higher educational institutions under the jurisdiction of the people’s Commissars of the USSR and cash equivalents headquarters of the SNK of the USSR – a thousand scholarships of 500 rubles per month each,
for students of higher educational institutions under the jurisdiction of the Union republics – one thousand five hundred scholarships of 500 rubles per month each.
V.
For persons подготавливающихся in the COLLEGE of arts and scientific research institutes to scientific activity and protection of the dissertation for a degree of a candidate of Sciences to establish a hundred scholarships of 1,000 rubles a month each.
For persons подготавливающихся to protection of the dissertation the degree of doctor of Sciences to establish the Academy of Sciences of the USSR fifty scholarships for 1,500 rubles a month each.
