16th April 2019, Sochi – ROSATOM and Cuba’s Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, have signed a memorandum of cooperation education and training in the field of nuclear energy on the sidelines of the 11th ATOMEXPO International Forum.
The memorandum was signed by the Deputy Director General For International Relations of ROSATOM, Nikolay Spassky, and the First Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Environment of Cuba, Fernando Gonzalez Bermudez.
It puts in place a framework for cooperation in education and training to assist Cuba’s nuclear energy sector and related areas. Under the terms of the document, Rosatom and the Cuban government would collaborate in developing training programmes for Cuban nuclear projects, set-up student and high-skilled expert exchange programmes, develop educational and scientific written materials, as well as run short internships, summer schools and seminars.
