Moscow, 11 July – ROSATOM and the Ministry of Energies of the Plurinational State of Bolivia signed a Memorandum of cooperation in the field of developing industrial projects and research in the lithium industry.
The document was signed by Alexey Likhachev, Director General of ROSATOM, from the Russian side, and Rafael Alarcón Orihuela, Minister of Energies, from the Bolivian side. The signing was carried out in the presence of the Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Bolivian President Evo Morales in the framework of the latter leader’s official visit to Russia.
The Memorandum confirms the parties’ interest in cooperation in developing the lithium industry. ROSATOM and the Ministry of Energies of Bolivia intend to assess the potential of working together on exploration and exploitation of lithium deposits, sharing of information and conducting scientific studies in the field of extraction and manufacturing of lithium and lithium products.
