Rosatom Engineering Division signs an agreement on strategic partnership with Rostelecom at the SPIEF

Within the framework of the XXVI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Atomstroyexport JSC (ASE) and Rostelecom PJSC have signed an agreement on strategic partnership in the field of implementation of digital transformation projects. The document was signed by Olga Tolstunova, Vice President for Digitalization and IT of ASE JSC, and Valery Ermakov, Senior Vice President for work with the corporate and state segments of Rostelecom PJSC.

The agreement envisages joint development and implementation of uniform approaches to the digital transformation process, interaction in creation of trusted mobile environment and digital services based on the pLTE/5G infrastructure at NPP construction sites.

“In order to fulfill all our obligations for implementation of NPP construction projects in Russia and abroad, it is important to cover all areas of domestic IT-solutions for assurance of stable work in the conditions of overall import substitution”, Olga Tolstunova noted. “The key task is to create a digital platform for NPP construction. Rostelecom is the company that can supplement at high quality standards our unique experience in the construction of large-scale capital construction projects with competencies in information security, use of cloud services and the industrial Internet. Signing of the agreement will strengthen and expand areas of our cooperation, hopefully, for the long time to come”. She also noted that the Engineering Division has a positive experience in implementation of initiatives for trial of digital technologies in the project of Kursk NPP construction, jointly with Rostelecom PJSC, for instance, digital control of the personnel, trusted wireless networks Private LTE and video monitoring of construction operations using smart video surveillance based on the AI (Artificial intelligence algorithms).

“For successful solution to digital transformation tasks in the energy industry, use of import-substituting technologies becomes the key factor. The partnership with Atomstroyexport implies joint development, trial and implementation of such solutions. Thus, one of the strategic tasks for us will be creation of mobile solutions based on the trusted mobile environment and implementation of remote access tools. This will allow our partner to manage the processes safely and efficiently at all industrial facilities, including ones under construction”, Valery Ermakov noted.
