The Second Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum will take place on June 6-7, as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The Russian Federation Presidential Commission for Strategic Development of the Fuel and Energy Sector and Environmental Security together with the State Energy Directorate of China act as the coordinators of the Forum.
The Forum aims to deepen the dialog between Russia and China in the energy field, improve efficiency and enhance portfolio of joint projects, as well as attract investments.
Its business program includes panel discussions on key issues of the Russian-Chinese energy cooperation in the oil and gas industry, nuclear energy, electric power industry and banking sector.
PJSC Rosneft and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) are the direct organizers of the Forum alternately. This year the Forum is organized by Rosneft with the support of the Roscongress Foundation.
The First Forum was held in Beijing, capital of the PRC, in November 2018. Representatives of about 90 companies from the energy, financial and IT sectors, political and public figures, diplomats and experts from Russia and China took part in the event. Over 50 bilateral meetings were held and about 20 agreements between energy majors from both countries were signed at the Forum.
