Artem Bobulich, Corporate Secretary of PAO Severstal (“Severstal”; “the Company”), one of the world’s leading vertically integrated steel and steel-related mining companies, was a winner in the “Corporate Director/Corporate Secretary” category at the Director of the Year Awards 2018.
The Awards are presented annually by the Association of Independent Directors and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, in partnership with the Moscow Exchange, PwC and Sberbank. They recognise personal contributions made by board directors to ensure Russian companies meet the highest standards of corporate governance. The awards ceremony was held in Moscow on 21st November.

Oleg Tsvetkov, Chairman of the National Association of Corporate Secretaries, presented Artem Bobulich with the Award.
In addition to Artem Bobulich, Severstal Board members Alexander Auzan, Alun Bowen, Philip Dayer and Vladimir Mau, were recognized in the list of Top 50 Independent Directors.
The winners are selected by a committee of 22 experts, made up of representatives from leading Russian corporations, the investment community, professional associations, and previous award winners. A long list for the 50 best independent directors, 25 best chairmen and 25 best corporate secretaries is compiled at the first stage of the selection process and the expert committee then narrows it down and chooses its winners.
