Sibneftegaz JSC celebrates the 25th anniversary of its operation. This is one of the key gas-producing subsidiaries of Rosneft Oil Company with the accumulated output exceeding 118 billion cubic metres.
At the moment, the entity produces approximately 12 bcm annually. In order to expand its production, Sibneftegaz carries out the construction of major production facilities: a gas and condensate complex treatment unit, a boosting compression station (BCS) for Senomanskaya deposit of Beregovoye field, the second line of a BCS for Pyreinoye field, and respective infrastructure. When commissioned, these assets will provide for an increase of the annual gas output up to 15 bcm.
Sibneftegaz builds its development upon wide use of modern technology in upstream, energy, and environment protection.
It applies horizontal and downhole splitter drilling in order to boost the penetration efficiency while developing highly lithologically variable reservoirs.
Within the framework of the Rosneft-2022 Strategy, Sibneftegaz introduces digital models of wells and gathering facilities. At the moment, the entity finishes its work on a pilot digital model of production facilities designed for online process monitoring on the basis of the Sphere information system.
Another area of development is the implementation of remote technology requiring minimal participation of personnel in the technological process—given the severe climate conditions of Yamal, where the average annual temperature approximates -8C.
Khadyrjakhinskoye field of the company uses autonomous energy sources—solar batteries and wind turbines that provide telemetric equipment with power. Upon the incoming data, operating conditions of wells and shut-off valves are controlled remotely.
Sibneftegaz contributes greatly into the social and economic development of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District ensuring the fail-safe gas supplies to settlements and many production facilities of the Far North. The entity takes part in the development of culture and sports in the region, supports the war-veteran organisation of Novy Urengoy, and provides help to small native peoples of the North. The R&D laboratory of the Children’s Ecology Station of YNAD was equipped due to support of Sibneftegaz.
