The works were in progress from March 28 to April 4. At the request of the Chinese party, Gazprom arranged the preventive maintenance at the Power of Siberia’s facilities in such a way as to ensure that the gas supplies continue during the period of such works; the volumes of the gas supplies provided during such period had been specially agreed by the parties.
Upon completion of the scheduled preventive maintenance, daily exports of gas to China via Power of Siberia resumed at their maximum contractual level.
According to the Sales and Purchase Agreement between Gazprom and China’s CNPC for gas to be supplied via the eastern route, preventive maintenance on equipment and gas pipeline systems is performed on Power of Siberia twice a year: in spring and in autumn.
